There are so many people out there who have considered counseling but are not sure if it is right for them. There is such a stigma behind seeking help for mental health that people feel as though they have to be “crazy” in order to benefit from counseling. This is so far from the truth! When anyone asks me who could benefit from counseling, my answer is everyone!
There is no such thing as a perfect life. There is no right or wrong way to feel. There are no events that are too insignificant to affect you emotionally. Everyone reacts in different ways to different situations and though something may be fine for one person, it could be emotionally stressful for another. That is why everyone could benefit from talking to a professional at some point. This article goes in depth about 11 reasons that talk therapy is worth a shot. I hope that soon we will all encourage each other to find help and break the stigma. It could cause a huge boost in happiness for so many people.
