Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with Biltmore Psychology and Counseling. She has experience working with an array of populations and settings including community mental health, inpatient mental health treatment, and outpatient services. Heather is a client-centered clinician who uses mindfulness techniques, compassion, trauma-informed care, insight, and motivational techniques to assist her clients in achieving their goals.
Prior to joining BPC, Heather was the Director of Outpatient Services with Copper Springs Hospital in Gilbert. She oversaw and facilitated the Outpatient programs which provided PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program), IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), Individual and Family Therapy, and Support Groups. Heather aims to journey alongside her clients while providing insights and support to allow her clients to recognize and meet their therapy goals and full potential.
Heather is originally from Michigan and moved to Arizona in 2006. She currently resides in Central Phoenix with her husband, 2 children, and 3 dogs. Heather and her husband share a strong passion for fitness and outdoor activities. Heather enjoys traveling and is certified in Scuba Diving. Prior to having children she and her husband spent much of their time traveling the Caribbean and Scuba Diving. Now with their children, they continue to travel whenever they can and spend as much time together as possible enjoying their pool, bike rides, and all activities that get them out of the house. While completing her Masters Degree she completed a thesis focused on LGBTQ+ issues and advocacy work with this population continues to be a passion for her.
