The 5 stages of grief are: 1) denial 2) anger 3) bargaining 4) depression 5) acceptance. While often listed in the order as shown, the stages can be experienced in any order and even simultaneously. Psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross first introduced the concept in her famous work ‘On Death and Dying’ (1969).
