#psychlopedia – Sandwich Generation

The term “sandwich generation” refers to a generation of people who are taking care of both their parents and their own children. The people, who are usually around 30 or 40, are sandwiched between both of these responsibilities. Taking care of people can be a large task physically, emotionally, and financially. When the people of this generation are asked to help their parents while also being a parent, they can get overwhelmed. If you know someone who is in this situation, it is important that you show them support. If you find yourself in the sandwich generation, seek support! It is ok to ask for help.
