Dr. Audrey Sessions-Spezzacatena is a Licensed Psychologist at Biltmore Psychology and Counseling (BPC) who truly believes that one of the bravest things a person can do is begin to understand their own story. Prior to joining the team at BPC, Dr. Sessions-Spezzacatena served as a psychologist in the VA Health Care System, carrying a variety of additional roles and duties within the facility, including Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Coordinator and Diversity Action Committee Co-Chair.
Dr. Sessions-Spezzacatena is one of less than 10 ABPP Board Certified behavioral and cognitive psychologists in the entire State of Arizona. She has experience providing psychotherapy to clients with a wide range of needs and goals and has received extensive training in multiple evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Dr. Sessions-Spezzacatena does not underestimate the power of the therapeutic relationship and takes great care to develop a meaningful and personalized therapy experience for her clients.
Dr. Sessions-Spezzacatena is a native to Arizona who returned to the Phoenix area after serving as a cryptological linguist in the U.S. Navy. She enjoys remaining physically active, tasting the foods of various cultures, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion and the de-stigmatization of mental health-related difficulties.
